These Everton fans do not want Mario Mandzukic signed this summer

Everton have been linked with a move for Juventus forward Mario Mandzukic.

Everton are reportedly keen on a move for Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic.

The Telegraph is reporting that the Croatian international is a player Everton boss Marco Silva is fond of. The report states that Everton are waiting to see if Mandzukic is in the plans of new Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri before making a decision on whether to make a move.

Everton have certainly got a gap in their squad for a potential striking addition. Mandzukic certainly fills that role. The former Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid striker has experience at the highest level.

Last summer, he showed he can still perform at the international level, scoring the goal that sent England out of the World Cup.

He scored 10 goals and assisted seven in 33 games for Juventus last term, so he clearly has something to offer.

However, plenty of Everton fans are not keen on the links.

At 33-years-old, some fans feel Everton would be bringing in a veteran who would not offer a significant improvement on their current options.

Mandzukic would also command quite a sizeable wage and Everton fans would like to see that used on younger targets – such as Mandzukic’s Juve team-mate Moise Kean.

Here is some of the best reaction from fans…
