'There's something wrong': Some Arsenal fans worried by what they're hearing about training now
Some Arsenal fans have been left concerned after Feyenoord boss Arne Slot’s comments about Reiss Nelson.
Nelson has left Arsenal to join Feyenoord on loan for the rest of the season, but the young attacker is yet to play for the Dutch side yet.
Slot gave his reasons for Nelson’s absence yesterday, and they did not make the most pleasant reading for Arsenal fans.
He said to RTV Rijnmond: “Nelson had participated in almost all training sessions at Arsenal, but he experiences the training here as a bit more intense.”
Slot is known for a high-pressing approach, which will demand high levels of fitness.
But the comments have led to Arsenal supporters asking questions over whether Mikel Arteta is working his players hard enough at London Colney.
Reason to worry?
The comments have come at a bad time for Arteta, as the pressure still remains on the Arsenal boss.
The Gunners may have got their first win of the season on Saturday over Norwich, but that has not taken them away from trouble yet.
Arsenal are still in 16th place in the Premier League table after a disappointing start and only a dramatic turnaround will see them climb the table in the coming weeks.
The Gunners are next in action when they take on Burnley at the weekend.
