'There's no way': Some Spurs fans dismiss 'nonsense' rumour linking club to £60m-rated magician
Tottenham are reportedly interested in Inter Milan midfielder Nicolo Barella.
According to Marca, Spurs, as well as Liverpool, are keen on the 24-year-old magician.
Barella’s stock and interest has increased over the summer following his starring role for Italy in Euro 2020.
Although the report claims Inter won’t sell the midfielder this window, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side remain eager on Barella.
As reported by la Repubblica, Inter value the midfielder at €70m (£60m). The Serie A champions have already sold Achraf Hakimi this summer.
Indeed, Tottenham would have to lodge a club-record offer if they are to sign the Euro 2020 winner.
And for fans on social media, they are extremely unconvinced that Spurs will make an approach for Barella.
Inter are adamant that the midfielder will remain with the Milanese club this summer. Moreover, Simone Inzaghi’s side are now in no rush to sell after moving on Hakimi to PSG.
Here’s what some Spurs fans had to say about the rumour linking Barella to Tottenham on Twitter…
