'There's going to be': Sky Sports reporter offers interesting update on Arsenal transfers
For those Arsenal fans who are becoming a little bit disillusioned by the club’s transfer activity, Sky Sports have just offered an interesting update.
Speaking live on air, Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth said that he thinks Mikel Arteta’s men could end up being the busiest club this summer.
What did Dharmesh Sheth say?
Speaking after Emile Smith Rowe’s new contract was announced, Sheth said the following live on Sky Sports.
“I think Arsenal will prove to be one of the busiest if not the busiest club in this transfer window. There is going to be plenty more outgoings and plenty more incomings.”
Now, that’s very exciting news for fans of the north Londoners.
Arsenal endured a horrid campaign last season, finishing eighth in the Premier League and missing out on Europe for the first time in many years.
As a result, fresh faces are absolutely needed at the Emirates Stadium.
Who could be arriving?
So far, Arsenal have signed Nuno Tavares and Albert Sambi Lokonga.
Ben White looks to be the next arrival, after Arsenal agreed a £50m deal with Brighton.
Elsewhere, the Gunners have been linked with a move for West Brom glovesman Sam Johnstone.
Some have even said that Arsenal made a bid for Houssem Aouar, so the Frenchman could be another new arrival in north London.
Additionally, Edu was said to be in talks with Jorge Mendes over a deal for Ruben Neves.
As you can see, there are plenty of irons in the fire for Arsenal.
Also, don’t be surprised to see a new name emerge out of nowhere, as that can often happen during a transfer window.
Only time will tell who Edu and Arteta sign, but Sheth’s update is very promising, to say the least.
