‘There is hope’… Alasdair Gold says Tottenham’s ‘talented’ player could be back in training this week

Tottenham haven’t had much luck with injuries this season.

The likes of Micky Van de Ven, James Maddison and Rodrigo Bentancur have all had sustained spells on the sidelines this term, and perhaps the most frustrating long-term injury has been to Manor Solomon.

The winger has been out of action for months at this point after a bright start at Tottenham, but luckily, it sounds as though his return may be just around the corner.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Alasdair Gold has been discussing Solomon’s fitness, and he says that there is hope that the ‘talented’ attacker will be back in training this week.

Manor Solomon could be back in training this week

Gold shared what he knows about the attacker.

“Manor Solomon, still not back in training yet. There is a hope it could be this week. The thing with Manor Solomon is a little bit like it was with Ryan Sessegnon in that you’ve just got to be so careful. he’s been out since September with his knee injury and you’ve just got to make sure he doesn’t come back too soon,’ Gold said.

“Now, they just want to make sure he’s 100% comfortable coming back and get him back at the right time. Hopefully it’ll be this week. You’d imagine we’re at the point where it’s too late to really have any involvement in the Palace game, you’d think.”

Boost

This is a real boost for Tottenham.

Spurs already have plenty of talented attackers available for selection at their disposal, but there’s no such thing as having too much attacking talent on the bench.

It’s been a long time since we’ve seen him, but Solomon was fantastic when he first arrived at Spurs, and if he can pick up where he left off, he’ll be a very effective weapon for Tottenham between now and the end of the season.
