It’s now only a matter of days until Tottenham’s league season kicks off against Brentford and manager Ange Postecoglou still has decisions to make.
The first XI under Postecoglou will certainly be very intriguing with a ton of change expected from last season.

And judging by last night’s performance against Barcelona, which did have positives, it seems that seven clear starters have emerged.
And there’s no better place to start than in goal.
Guglielmo Vicario looks cemented as the club’s number one this season and he’s only showed promising signs in pre-season.
The 26-year-old has long been touted as one of Europe’s top prospects and he’s now showing why.
Moving into Tottenham’s defence to face Brentford, there’s slightly less certainty who Postecoglou will choose.
Cristian Romero looks nailed on as a starter and otherwise it’s only Destiny Udogie who seems to have booked his spot in pre-season.
For the two vacant spots in the back four you’d imagine Emerson Royal to appear at right-back.
The Brazilian has given the side a lot of balance and stability when fielded in pre-season, more so than Pedro Porro.
And there must be a credible shout for Micky van de Ven heading straight in at left centre-back.
Seven Tottenham players look guaranteed to start for Postecoglou against Brentford
In the midfield, the two guaranteed spots belong to Yves Bissouma and James Maddison.
Whilst only the latter is a new signing, both feel like they’ve rejuvenated the squad.

Their pre-season showings should have guaranteed their spot, and on last night’s evidence they may be alongside Oliver Skipp.
Lastly, in attack, there’s unfortunately still uncertainty over the striker role.
Son Heung-Min and Dejan Kulusevski both look strong picks on the wing but there is still no guarantee that Harry Kane will start the season.
With a fresh bid again expected from Bayern Munich, anything could still happen with Kane’s future.
But with the seven guaranteed starters mentioned, the spine of Postecoglou’s Tottenham team against Brentford is definitely starting to take shape.
