William Saliba is one of the best defenders in the world right now.
The Frenchman is a commanding figure at the heart of Arsenal’s defence, and not only is he a brilliant player, he’s a brilliant leader.
Saliba is always telling his teammates what to do and where to go, but, apparently, off the pitch, the defender is very quiet.
Indeed, speaking on Arsenal’s YouTube channel, Jorginho has been discussing what it’s like to travel with his Arsenal teammates.
According to Jorginho, William Saliba is the player who watches the most films while travelling as the Italian claimed that he’s a very quiet person off the pitch.
Theo Walcott was conducting the interview, and he was very surprised to hear this about Saliba.

William Saliba is very quiet
Jorginho and Walcott discussed the defender and his personality.
“Who watches the most films?” Jorginho was asked.
“I think it’s Sailba. Because he’s very quiet,” Jorginho said.
“Is he? I wouldn’t think that, the way he plays, he doesn’t seem quiet to me,” Walcott said.
“Yeah, he’s a completely different person,” Jorginho replied.
“Wow,” Walcott said.
William Saliba is completely different
As Jorginho says, Saliba is like a different person on the pitch.
Away from the grass, it sounds as though Saliba is quite quiet and reserved, but on the pitch, he’s not afraid to have his voice heard.
Some players are just like this though, and something else clicks in their mind when they’re playing football.
It’s like these players just get into the zone when they’re playing football and some sort of alter-ego takes over.
Of course, there’s nothing wrong with being an introverted person and keeping yourself to yourself, but it is intriguing to hear how Saliba is so different when he isn’t playing football.
Regardless, Saliba is very vocal on the pitch, and based on his leadership abilities when he’s playing he could easily be a future Arsenal captain.
Saliba is undoubtedly one of the best in the world at what he does.
