Theo Walcott has posted on Twitter ahead of Everton’s clash against Newcastle United on Saturday – and Toffees supporters have reacted in their drones.
The 29-year-old is struggling for form at the moment. He has scored four goals and created two more in 31 league and cup appearances this season – but has failed to contribute to a goal since the turn of the year.
The former Arsenal and Southampton star has been in and out of the starting line-up as a result. He has started just four of Everton’s last eight league games, with Bernard, Richarlison and Ademola Lookman providing competition.
The 47-time England international uploaded a picture to Twitter on Thursday evening ahead of Saturday’s clash, stating that he is “Looking forward to Newcastle on Saturday”.
Everton come into the match having picked up just four points from their last possible 15. However, they beat Cardiff City 3-0 away from home before earning an excellent point against Merseyside rivals Liverpool.
Newcastle sit six points behind the Toffees in 14th place, losing 2-0 to West Ham United last time out. Walcott will be hoping to make the difference, but Everton fans are not so sure.
Many called for Marco Silva to drop the versatile attacker, while some Everton fans are keen to see the back of Walcott who only joined Everton for £20million from Arsenal (Telegraph).
