Everton were beaten 2-0 on Wednesday night in the Premier League by reigning champions Manchester City and have now lost three of their last four games in the top flight.

Marco Silva’s team were defeated again at Goodison Park and now face an uphill struggle to chase down a European spot this season.

There were some strong displays from Toffees individuals against a classy opponent in midweek, but on the flip side some let themselves down too.

Theo Walcott once again turned in another non-existent display for the Merseyside club and he’s surely on borrowed time.

The 29-year-old can’t have a long-term future under Silva based off his performances this season, as too many times he’s been invisible in games and he wasn’t at the races against Manchester City.

He joined Everton for £20million (Sky Sports) in January 2018 from Arsenal and was expected to become a key player.

The speed machine has scored four goals across all competitions this season and overall isn’t living up to the price tag.

Walcott is often lacking the final ball in attack and he’s surely only blocking the path of promising youngster Ademola Lookman at Everton right now.

The right-winger already has a number of supporters that have turned against him and a summer exit may be best for all parties unless his form improves.
