‘Then we’ll win the quadruple’ - These Arsenal fans want to sign Upamecano in January
According to The Sun, Arsenal had a £65 million bid for Dayot Upamecano rejected by RB Leipzig in the dying days of the summer transfer window. Ultimately, the Gunners were unable to secure the services of the 20-year-old centre-back.
Unai Emery was desperate to bring defensive reinforcements to the Emirates Stadium this summer. Ultimately, an £8 million fee was agreed to sign David Luiz from Chelsea. The 32-year-old Brazilian will add some experience to the Arsenal ranks. However, he does not represent a long-term solution.
Upamecano is extremely highly rated. The powerful, authoritative defender has plenty of potential and could develop into one of the most impressive defenders in the game. The France under-21 international is already a regular for RB Leipzig. He made 22 appearances for the Bundesliga club in all competitions last season. He would have made more appearances had a knee injury not ruled him out for much of the second half of the campaign.
Upamecano would be a brilliant signing for Arsenal. Had he arrived at the Emirates Stadium this summer, then Arsenal fans would be celebrating the capture of a defender capable of excelling for their club for more than a decade.
Whilst he is not yet an Arsenal player, the Gunners may return for Upamecano again. Plenty of the Emirates Stadium faithful have taken to Twitter to encourage the Gunners to swoop for the centre-back in January.

I have this feeling that Arsenal will go for Upamecano in January when his price goes down.?

If we can ship Mustafi, Mkhi, Elneny and Monreal before the end of the European window shuts we will look fresh. Then use that money to buy Zaha as an Iwobi replacement as well as Upamecano in January, then we’ll win the quadruple this year

We HAVE to spend now in January on Upamecano or another CB, or even go back in for Zaha.
Otherwise there’s 0 logic in selling Iwobi now, unless we’re planning on using the money in January
