The Times claim West Ham are ready to sell Pellegrini signing

The Times have claimed that West Ham United are ready to offload Felipe Anderson this summer as the Brazil international continues to endure a difficult season under David Moyes.

Anderson, 27, was a £36million (Times) signing under Manuel Pellegrini in the summer of 2018. He has since clocked up 66 appearances for the Hammers – starring for the east London side in his first campaign.

Clocking up 40 appearances last season, he had a hand in 15 goals – scoring 10 and creating five. But this time around, he has managed just one goal in 26 games and it seems Moyes has had enough of the ex-Lazio man.

The report claims West Ham will sell Anderson this summer, even if the club avoid relegation – something which looks increasingly likely. He has two years remaining on his £80,000-a-week contract.

TBR’s view – Anderson should leave West Ham

Whether it is a question of attitude, or if he has become homesick – but something has switched with Anderson. A lack of effort compared to his first season is more than evident.

Although capable of glimpses of magic, West Ham fans have been celebrating the performances of Michail Antonio, Declan Rice and others – and not Anderson, despite the money paid for the Brazilian in the summer of 2018.
