The worst
Gabriel
It was a horrible day for Gabriel in the Arsenal defence as he had a part to play in both Tottenham goals. He hesitation in the box allowed Dele Alli to put Spurs 1-0 up and, in contrast, his over-eagerness to make a challenge led to him giving away a penalty for a foul on Kane.
Although the Spurs striker went over fairly easily, Gabriel’s reckless and ill-timed challenge gave referee Micahel Oliver a decision to make.
Alexis Sanchez
Usually a stand-out performer for the Gunners, the Chilean has a very quiet game. He was very ineffective out wide and didn’t really threaten Tottenham’s goal, apart from one shot straight that went straight into Hugo Lloris’ palms.
He painted a very frustrated figure all game, especially during the closing stages, and looked like a man whose future at the club is in serious doubt.
Olivier Giroud
Giroud put in another disappointing performance in the lone striker role. He was often very isolated up front but when he did have close support, he failed to hold the ball up and bring his teammates into play as he was regularly outmuscled by Tottenham defenders.
He did very little in terms of creating or looking like scoring as he registered just two shots on goal, a poor return for a striker with such talented playmakers around him.
