As we move towards a fresh new chapter in 2024, Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal will hope it’s the year that they finally lift the Premier League title again.

2023 has been a productive one for The Gunners, but Arteta will still be seeking big improvements.

And speaking of such, we’ll be looking at three Arsenal stars who definitely need to improve next year, all for different reasons.

So without further ado, we start with Fabio Vieira.

Although currently injured, Arsenal’s £34m signing is still yet to show any level of consistency at Arsenal.

Vieira clearly has so much talent and potential, a player that Arsenal are genuinely lucky to have, but his chance could be close to passing him by.

Kai Havertz has now put forward the strongest claim for the number eight position that Arsenal fans have seen this season.

And with Emile Smith Rowe also around as backup, the situation doesn’t currently bode well for Portugal’s Vieira.

The 23-year-old has now played for Arsenal on 46 occasions and is yet to stake a serious claim for a start.

Arsenal need Oleksandr Zinchenko to improve to win the Premier League title in 2024

Perhaps a more surprising name on this list, but Oleksandr Zinchenko also needs to make some adjustments.

A brilliant player in possession, one who has been so crucial to all of Mikel Arteta’s success, however, there’s definitely still more to come.

Arsenal fans don’t expect Zinchenko to be an elite level one versus one defender, he never has been, but they need his concentration to improve.

Although some of Zinchenko’s recent lapses of attention haven’t cost Arsenal, he’s often bailed out by some excellent teammates, he can definitely cut out these mistakes.

The Ukraine captain is a superb player, and one that Arsenal need to be able to rely upon.

Last on the list, we bring David Raya to the floor, and perhaps his improvements needed are a little more obvious.

The shop stopper is clearly Mikel Arteta’s number one, a player he’s tracked for years.

However, Raya’s performances for Arsenal are yet to justify all of the disruption that his move has caused.

Whilst his distribution has been impressive at times, that hasn’t made up for his failure to command his box.

Arsenal are chasing a Premier League title in 2024, and Raya doesn’t currently seem up to the task.

Patience will be needed, it’s understandable that Raya has been nervous because of recent events.

But as he settles at the club, which he’ll need to quickly, there’s an obvious need for improvement.

Should all the three players mentioned improve, particularly the last two, then Arsenal will have an excellent chance of being crowned Premier League Champions in 2024.
