'The thing that sticks out': Grealish shares what he's noticed about Tottenham's Kane while on England duty
Spurs star and England captain Harry Kane has been praised by Aston Villa skipper and Three Lions teammate Jack Grealish.
The Tottenham talisman and his Villans counterpart are currently on England duty at Euro 2020.
Kane famously won the Golden Boot at the 2018 World Cup, helping the Three Lions reach the semi-finals.
Now, England are hoping to go further and, having beaten Germany in the Euro 2016 last-16, optimism is high.
Gareth Southgate’s charges face Ukraine on Saturday and then take on either Czech Republic or Denmark in the semi-finals.
Kane got his first goal of the tournament against Germany and, now he’s up and running, everyone will be hoping he can now start banging them in.
Grealish, who provided the cross for the 27-year-old to break his duck, spoke about the Tottenham ace ahead of the Ukraine clash.
He called Kane “unbelievable” and “the thing that sticks out” about him is that he’s so much more than a goalscorer.
Grealish has also noticed just how professional Kane is on and off the pitch, and “when you see him around the place, this is why he is England captain.”
Speaking to Sky Sports, Grealish said: “The thing that sticks out is that he is not just a goalscorer.
“There are players from the past who just scored goals, goals, goals.
“In my opinion he will break the Premier League one and the England one but he is not just a goalscorer.
“He is unbelievable. Like when he drops deep and finds passes and puts it through people’s legs.
“He is obviously unbelievable and I am buzzing for him that he has obviously got the first goal and hopefully for all of us there are many more to come.”
