Glasgow Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has waxed lyrical about Cedric Itten’s efforts for the Ibrox side in pre-season.
The 24-year-old striker joined Rangers last summer for a reported £3million.
However, Itten struggled in his first season with the Light Blues and away from his native Switzerland.

The pandemic prevented any kind of socialising and getting familiarised with the city, as well as things like family visits.
Nonetheless, the Swiss marksman worked hard in the blue shirt and showed glimpses of quality last term.
And this pre-season, Itten has stood out for Gerrard and co, scoring three goals already – half his 2020-21 tally.
The 6ft 2in ace netted the winner against Real Madrid on Sunday, firing a fine finish past Andriy Lunin for a 2-1 triumph at Ibrox.

“He’s probably been the stand-out attacking player over the pre-season,” The Scotsman quotes Gerrard as saying.
“He has been available for the most minutes and hasn’t missed a training session and seems more settled in the city now that he and his girlfriend can get about and socialise a bit more.
“You can see that in his training performances and his playing minutes. He has scored three goals and he certainly looks ready.”
