Arsenal have had a very fruitful summer on the transfer front this year, making several big signings in key areas.
The Gunners now have one of the strongest defences in the Premier League after adding Riccardo Calafiori to their ranks.
In addition, Mikel Merino is a major reinforcement in Arsenal’s midfield, while Neto and Raheem Sterling have replaced Aaron Ramsdale and Reiss Nelson in goal and in attack.
Sterling’s Arsenal arrival on loan from Chelsea was without a doubt the standout signing for the north Londoners in the latter stages of the window.
Now, the Gunners have announced what shirt number Sterling will be wearing this season.
Arsenal confirm Raheem Sterling will wear shirt number 30
The Gunners have taken to social media with a video confirming Sterling will wear the number 30 this season.
Who else has worn number 30 at Arsenal?
Sterling has taken the number previously worn by United States goalkeeper Matt Turner, who Arsenal sold to Nottingham Forest in 2023.
Other players to have worn number 30 at Arsenal include Eddie Nketiah, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Armand Traore, Ryo Miyaichi, Yossi Benayoun and Jeremie Aliadiere.

Why Sterling to Arsenal move makes perfect sense
With Nelson leaving Arsenal on loan, it freed up a slot in their squad which Sterling will now fill.
The 82-cap England international can play on the left flank, offer competition and cover for Bukayo Saka on the right and even play up front if needed.
In addition, Arteta worked with Sterling at Manchester City, so the Arsenal manager knows what he’s getting from the Chelsea loanee.
Furthermore, the Gunners are reportedly paying just £100,000-a-week of Sterling’s £325,000-a-week wages, with Chelsea footing the rest.
All in all, it’s a deal which makes perfect sense and should take the Gunners up a level.
