Arsenal attacking midfielder Martin Odegaard has given his verdict on his Gunners teammate Gabriel Jesus.
Odegaard has noted how Jesus is in training and what he brings to the team during matches.
So, what has Martin Odegaard said about his Arsenal teammate Gabriel Jesus? Let’s take a look.
Martin Odegaard praises Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus
Well, Arsenal playmaker Martin Odegaard has been speaking about Gabriel Jesus, and he has raved about the £265,000-a-week (Spotrac) Brazil international forward.
Odegaard has noted that the former Manchester City striker impresses everyone in training.
The former Real Madrid player has also said that although Jesus may not score too many goals, he is a very important figure in how Arsenal attack.

Odegaard told The Times: “It’s not just about Gabi [Jesus], it’s about the whole team making sure we score enough goals and that we create enough chances for each other. But you see the quality Gabi has in training every day, it’s unbelievable.
“What he’s doing for the team, it’s more than just the goals — he creates so much for us, he takes attention off the defenders, he takes the ball down and uses it in good positions, he’s so good in the combinations as well. He’s a top, top player, I really love playing with him.”
My View: Gabriel Jesus needs to score more goals
I understand what Martin Odegaard is saying about Gabriel Jesus. The Brazil international is a key player in Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta’s system. No one should understate that. He has been compared to Roberto Firmino as well.
However, I believe that Jesus needs to score more goals. After all, he is the main striker at Arsenal, who need him to bang in 15 to 20 goals in the Premier League every season for the North London club to win the title.
Jesus has scored only three goals in 15 Premier League matches for Arsenal this season. The 26-year-old scored 11 goals in the league in 2022-23.
Just compare that with Mohamed Salah and Erling Haaland, who are the main goalscorers at Liverpool and Manchester City respectively.
Egyptian forward Salah has scored 14 goals in 20 Premier League matches this campaign and scored 19 goals in the league last season.
Norwegian striker Haaland has found the back of the net 14 times in 15 Premier League appearances already this season. The 23-year-old scored 36 goals in 33 Premier League starts for City last season.
