‘The Prem aint ready’: Arsenal fans want William Saliba to replace David Luiz

Arsenal fans have been discussing the departure of David Luiz on social media and with it, the potential of seeing William Saliba as his replacement. 

The discussion point came after The Athletic’s David Ornstein shared a tweet suggesting that Saliba will be given the opportunity to return in the summer and fight for his place under Mikel Arteta.

Saliba was expected to do that last summer. However, Arteta had concerns about how ready he was for Premier League football and ultimately, sent him back to France for a year with Nice.

But Saliba, 20, is thought to be impressing this time around and it seems the Gunners will give him the chance to make his mark in north London over the summer months.

Naturally, Arsenal fans seemed pretty excited by the prospect of Saliba returning, with plenty of comments on Twitter about the matter.
