West Ham United striker Marko Arnautovic is reportedly interesting Serie A giants Inter Milan.
New boss Antonio Conte is ready to sanction a £30 million move for the maverick Austrian according to The Sun.
It has been widely expected that Arnautovic would the become the subject of exit talk this summer, after being heavily linked with a move to China earlier this year (The Guardian).
The former Stoke City man stayed with the club and signed a new deal, but there is a feeling amongst fans that he could still depart.
With Inter said to be keen, perhaps West Ham should enquire about a potential swap deal involving the youngster Lautaro Martinez.
Argentine striker Martinez joined Inter last summer and is an extremely talented player with exciting potential.
He had strong competition for regular game time last term, with Mauro Icardi the main man at San Siro.
With Conte reportedly eyeing moves for Arnautovic, Romelu Lukaku and Edin Dzeko, Martinez could become available this summer.
Last year, former West Ham striker Carlos Tevez raved over Martinez, branding him ‘hungry, ruthless and technically gifted’ (quoted by Football Italia).
Tevez also said that he even reminded him of himself, and that he was the best of all the young Argentines.
It’d be an ambitious move, but one West Ham should certainly consider with Arnautovic not getting any younger.
