'The only one': Phil Foden shares what he's seen Tottenham's Harry Kane do after England training
Phil Foden has told the Diary Room that Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane’s finishing in drills after training is brilliant.
Kane participated in a drill earlier in the tournament, where players were required to hit two long range shots and then a volley.
The Tottenham striker, of course, found the back of the net with all three – something no other England player has managed at the tournament.
And Foden said: “It’s always good after training to go and do a little bit of finishing. That’s what the lads enjoy, the attackers. Graeme has been putting a few seasons on. Three different finishes, one with the right, one with the left and then a volley.
“I think H is the only one to score all three which doesn’t surprise me as he’s one of best finishers in football.”
Manchester City partners?
Foden may well be hoping that he can link up with Kane at club level next season at club level.
Manchester City have been heavily linked with Kane throughout the summer transfer window, but whether they will be able to agree a price with Tottenham for their star man remains to be seen.
Kane has once again caught the eye on the international stage through his performances of late.
The Spurs front man made a slow start to the tournament, but now has four goals – including three in his last two games – which has helped put England into the final.
England will now take on Italy on Sunday at Wembley, looking to win their first major trophy since 1966.
