‘The next Kun Aguero’: Some Man City fans blown away by 18-year-old’s U23s display yesterday
A number of Manchester City fans have taken to Twitter to praise Liam Delap for his latest goalscoring efforts at Under-23 level.
The 18-year-old academy striker has been in sensational form this season, registering a staggering 19 goals and four assists in 17 appearances – both at age and senior level.
On Friday, City’s U23s extended their lead at the top of the Premier League 2 table with a 3-1 win away at Brighton U23s, and Delap was once again instrumental.

Felix Nmecha opened the scoring for the visitors with a 16th-minute penalty, only for Danny Cashman to equalise shortly before the half-hour mark.
Delap then won City’s second penalty of the day when he was hauled down in the box, duly stepping up and converting in the 50th minute.
He went on to get his second of the day – and City’s third – in second-half stoppage time, slotting home from close range.
Needless to say, Delap’s quality and form has led to many City fans tipping him for stardom on social media:

I think Delap should be regular on our bench now ahead of Garcia.
