‘The next Drogba’: Arsenal fans react as Arteta confirms Folarin Balogun contract talks

Arsenal fans have been reacting on Twitter to the news that Folarin Balogun is in negotiations over a new contract, as confirmed by Mikel Arteta.

The Gunners boss confirmed yesterday that the club were looking to give Balogun a new deal with the club. The decision marks something of a u-turn for Arsenal, who were almost resigned to losing the teenager in the summer.

Balogun could be given another chance tonight when Arsenal take on Molde in the Europa League. The youngster is looking to kick on and make an impression, with the door open thanks to Alexandre Lacazette’s struggles so far.

Arsenal fans, then, were loving the news on social media with many of them hopeful of big things for Balogun in the future.
