Sean Longstaff earned his first Premier League start for Newcastle United in their 2-1 loss away at Chelsea.
Newcastle travelled down to London to take on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and goals from Pedro and Willian, either side of a Ciaran Clark header, earned the Blues a win.
While many players were criticised by Newcastle fans after the game, Longstaff was praised.
The 21-year-old is an academy graduate and Newcastle supporters feel that he has a big future at St James’ Park.
Longstaff played his second Premier League game, and it was his first start, as he impressed against Chelsea in a midfield role.

The former Kilmarnock and Blackpool loanee produced a composed display in the middle of the park against a talented Chelsea midfield.
With Jonjo Shelvey out injured, Longstaff might earn himself a run in the team. Newcastle dropped back into the relegation zone yesterday and need an injection of fresh ideas from someone.
Could Longstaff be Newcastle’s hero for the remainder of the season? Here are some tweets from Newcastle fans discussing Longstaff’s first ever start.
