A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to rave about Gunners academy graduate Emile Smith Rowe, comparing him to Kevin De Bruyne and even Dennis Bergkamp.
The 19-year-old widely considered one of the best young talents at the Emirates Stadium and made six appearances for the Gunners across the Europa League, League Cup and Premier League this campaign.
Smith Rowe has made 15 competitive appearances to date for Arsenal in all competitions, scoring four goals, whilst making three further appearances for Bundesliga side RB Leipzig during a loan spell at the start of 2019.
In January this year, the young midfielder joined Championship side Huddersfield Town on loan until the end of the season and, to date, he has made 15 appearances, scoring once and claiming three assists.
Smith Rowe was bright in the Terriers’ goalless draw with Reading earlier this week and, assessing their player’s progress, some Arsenal fans reckon he plays very much like the Manchester City and Belgium ace.
With the England youth international contracted to the Emirates until 2023, the Gunners aren’t at risk of losing him any time soon, and perhaps he could become the next young prodigy to break into the first team.
Here is what some Arsenal fans have been saying on social media:
Smith Rowe is so de bruyne
Bring him into the first team next season then send willock on loan

Collecting the ball on the turn is what he is very good at and collecting the ball on the turn was the first thing Arteta was teaching the players. Defo and Arteta player.

Looks very promising for his age. Always looking forward and trying to make something happen, his ball carrying looks superb. Something we desperately lack at the moment. Looking forward to seeing him more next season.
