Everton have parted company with James Rodriguez, news which didn’t go down well with some Toffees fans.
On Wednesday, the Goodison Park outfit announced that Rodriguez had left to join Qatari club Al Rayyan.
Carlo Ancelotti brought the Colombia international to Everton last summer, the two having worked well together in the past.

Rodriguez hit the ground running on Merseyside, claiming three goals and three assists in his opening five Premier League games.
He suffered from a number of injuries last season, but clocked up 26 appearances in all competitions, including 23 in the Premier League.
However, Rodriguez didn’t feature this season under new Everton boss Rafa Benitez.
His last game for the Toffees came in the 1-0 loss to Sheffield United back in May.
Rodriguez was surplus to Benitez’s requirements, so his departure isn’t exactly a surprise.
But the news angered some Everton fans – those sad to see him go and those wondering why they’d signed him in the first place:
