Sunday was a busy day for transfer news and no bigger shock came than when The Times reported Spurs had agreed a fee for Arsenal target, Lautaro Martinez.
The Inter Milan striker is a wanted man this summer. Both the Gunners and Tottenham apparently want him, with Inter struggling for money once again.
The Times claimed that Spurs had agreed a £60m fee for Martinez. And while personal terms had yet to be agreed, it sent a big shock wave through football and, in particular, North London yesterday.

Since the initial report, there has been mixed messages. Some in Italy claim no such bid has been agreed, while reports over in the UK suggest a deal is there to be done for Martinez.
Naturally, given Arsenal’s initial interest in the Argentinian, this has gone down like a lead balloon with Gunners fans on social media.
Twitter was awash with comments discussing Spurs’ jump to the front of the queue. And it’s safe to say some Arsenal fans are far from happy.
