Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has revealed that Aaron Ramsdale impressed him from their very first phone call.
The 23-year-old has won the Gunners Player of the Month award for the second month in a row.
It marks another impressive career milestone for Ramsdale at Arsenal.

And it certainly makes a mockery of the criticism the England international received in the summer.
Arsenal signed Ramsdale from Sheffield United for a fee that could reportedly rise to £30million.
However, Gunners fan reaction was mixed at best.
Some questioned his credentials in wake of back-to-back relegations with Bournemouth and the Blades.
Others, meanwhile, wondered whether £30million on an apparent back-up goalkeeper was worth it.
However, it didn’t take Ramsdale long to not only become first-choice, but to become a key player and fan favourite.

He’s not only an impressive goalkeeper and performer, but his force of personality is also noticeable.
The Arsenal media team asked Arteta when he realised just how big a character Ramsdale would be.
“The day I spoke with him for the first time on the phone!” the manager said.
“That is when I realised he had a special personality and was going to fit in really well with what we are trying to do, and the way we want our players to behave.”
That said, a goalkeeper or defender winning a POTM award suggests the midfield and front line are misfiring.
And Arteta admitted he was eager for an attacking player to get the December accolade.
“That would be good,” he added, “if the attackers are making us win football matches that would be very welcome.”
