A number of Glasgow Rangers fans have urged the Ibrox club to give Jamie Murphy a chance in the famous blue shirt next season following his appearance in Friday’s bounce game.
The 30-year-old boyhood Rangers supporter began life at Ibrox brightly after signing permanently from Brighton & Hove Albion in 2018 for £1million following his half-season loan.
However, Murphy sadly suffered a cruciate ligament injury just weeks after swapping the Amex for Ibrox.

By the time the winger returned to full fitness, he had fallen behind the likes of Ryan Kent and Sheyi Ojo in the pecking order.
Murphy went out on loan to English League One side Burton Albion in January and did extremely well for the Brewers, claiming seven goals and two assists from just 10 league games.
By the time the English third tier was suspended and then called, Burton were 12th in the table and, with only the playoff contenders returning to action, the Staffordshire side’s season was over.
Murphy is now back at Rangers and featured in the victory over Hamilton, a game which also saw new signing Jon McLaughlin and promising young defender Lewis Mayo in action.
Plenty of Bears responded to Murphy’s post-match interview on the Rangers Twitter feed and called for Steven Gerrard to include him in his plans next term:
