David Prutton has spoken highly of Leeds United winger Pablo Hernandez, describing him as “the man pulling the strings” for Marcelo Bielsa’s side (Love Sport Radio).
While Hernandez may not have hit the heady heights of last season this time round, he continues to do very well for the Whites, claiming a vital winner at Elland Road last weekend against Reading.
Leeds have won their last three Championship games by one goal to nil, putting an end to the poor form which affected the Whites at the turn of the year, and at present, Bielsa’s charges sit five points clear of third-placed Fulham.
Up next for Leeds is Saturday’s early kickoff at Hull City, a side nervously looking over their shoulders, with just a four-point gap between themselves and the bottom three.

Prutton, who played for Leeds during his career but hails from Hull, joked about 35-year-old Hernandez being a “shocking age” for a footballer, but nonetheless said he was doing well for the club.
When commenting about Leeds’ man to watch, Prutton told Love Sport Radio: “I think if the evergreen Pablo Hernandez is the man pulling the strings, 35-years-old, he is a shocking age for a footballer! But he’s doing very, very well indeed.”
TBR View:
Hernandez has been, and continues to be, a superb servant for Leeds, and though he may have struggled in the win over Middlesbrough, that was probably just a case of fatigue caused by the quick turnaround in games.
The winger’s magic has never dwindled, and with two more years on his contract, it would be just the reward for his loyalty and efforts were he able to finally ply his trade in the Premier League with the Elland Road side.
