'The jewel in our crown' - Leeds fans are very excited about Jack Clarke
Jack Clarke scored his first professional goal yesterday to add to his burgeoning reputation.
The 18-year-old came on for Jack Harrison at half-time as Leeds trailed Aston Villa 2-0 at Villa Park.
And Clarke inspired a magnificent comeback to ensure Leeds sit top at Christmas.
The talented teenager, who has come through the ranks at Elland Road, scored Leeds’ first goal with a fine finish.
Clarke cut inside from the left flank, moved into the box and picked his spot with a well-taken finish.
He then immediately beckoned for a team-mate to grab the ball and ran back to restart the game.
Leeds then turned the game around completely with goals from Pontus Jansson and Kemar Roofe ensuring a memorable victory.
Having impressed in a few substitute cameos, Clarke could now try to earn a starting spot.
The York-born winger looks set to be next in a long line of academy graduates starring in a first-team role.
Leeds fans are understandably getting very excited by their homegrown starlet.
Below are some opinions from Leeds fans after Clarke spearheaded their win over Aston Villa.
He is most def the jewel in our crown.

Doesn’t get much more encouraging than when you see your 18 year old winger score their first goal for the club and the first thing they do is run to grab the ball and then start revving up the players. Proper stuff

Absolutely love the fact a young lad has scored his first goal for the club and all he wants to do is get the ball back and get a result. This @LUFC team 😍😍
