Paul Pogba

Another big name to slip away from Manchester. The talented youngster joined in 2009 and was constantly involved in the youth squad before being promised his chance in the first team in the 2011/12 season. Pogba’s contract was running out and the club started negotiations but Pogba is said to have wanted a first team players contract instead of a youth player.

This disagreement led to Pogba searching for a new club and Sir Alex had no problem in allowing him to leave for Juventus. Although Manchester United’s morals remained intact they lost one of the hottest prospects in football and Pogba has gone on to be one of the world’s best and could come back to haunt United with a constant link to Manchester City.
