Darren Fletcher

The Scotsman enjoyed a very successful career at Old Trafford after joining the club at only 11 years old. Despite being there for so long and constantly being tipped to break into the first team and cement his position in the team he was struck by injuries including a broken foot but eventually became a major player from 2005, but constantly faced competition from new signings like Ronaldo, Owen Hargreaves, Nani and Anderson so first team time was always limited.

2009 was the beginning of his constant presence and was a major loss in the Champions League final against Barcelona the same year. He enjoyed a three year period before he was struck down with his battle with illness that would damage the rest of his United career. He joined West Bromwich Albion in 2015 marking his full recovery.
