Arsenal have some of the best young talents in the Premier League right now.
The likes of Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli are incredible considering how young they are, while the likes of Ethan Nwaneri and Reull Walters look to be stars of the future.
Speaking on the Premier League Rising Ballers show, Ben Foster has been discussing another of Arsenal’s young talents.

Ben Foster praises Arsenal star
It’s easy to forget because of how mature he is, but William Saliba is only 23 years old.
The Frenchman is still incredibly young, and on this edition of Rising Ballers, he was spotlighted for his incredible performances as of late.
Ben Foster was full of praise for Saliba, going as far as to compare him to Virgil Van Dijk, while also stating that he has the full package as a centre-back.
“He reminds me a little bit of Virgil van Dijk the way he reads the game, how composed he is, how controlled he is, the timing of when he will do those slide tackles. He’s aggressive, he really is the full package in terms of what you want as a centre-back, he scores a few as well, a real threat, a genuine threat,” Foster said.
William Saliba has it all
Ben Foster says that Saliba is the full package, and he’s not wrong.
It’s been a long time since we’ve seen a defender this young play in this way.
Somehow, Saliba combines the speed, strength and skill you’d expect any exciting young prospect to have with an incredible level of maturity and leadership.
The fact that Saliba is younger than the likes of Reiss Nelson and Eddie Nketiah genuinely seems mind-blowing considering the way these players are viewed at Arsenal, and that’s a testament to his maturity and his quality.
Saliba may well be the best defender in the world in a few years’ time, and that £27m signing now looks like an absolute bargain to say the least.
