Arsenal fans are urging Mikel Arteta and Edu to make a move for Andre Onana now.

De Telegraaf reported last night that Onana’s proposed move to Lyon from Ajax had surprisingly collapsed at the last minute.

Arsenal were linked with the goalkeeper earlier in the transfer window and it was claimed in the update that other options had caused the potential transfer to collapsed.

There are plenty of Arsenal fans who now believe that they may have made a move for the goalkeeper.

And there is a widespread clamour for him to come in.

If Arsenal were to make a move for Onana it would not be a major surprise.

Football London reported how Mikel Arteta was frustrated with Bernd Leno in Arsenal’s last friendly, due to his failure to distribute the ball properly.

Onana is far more impressive with the ball at his feet than Leno, and given that he could be available for just £7 million he could be a potential bargain.

Arsenal have seemingly been pushing for Aaron Ramsdale recently, but Onana could represent a better value for money transfer.

And if the Gunners were to bring him in, it seems his arrival would be welcomed with open arms by supporters at the Emirates Stadium.
