The Brazilian star went off holding his hamstring in what was another problematic sign for Mikel Arteta an d his star forward. Jesus had scored and set one up to help Arsenal win, but left the field limping.

Michael Owen predicts how long Gabriel Jesus will be out injured

Speaking alongside Martin Keown for TNT, Owen suggested that Jesus will be missing for at least some games, given the nature of the injury.

“The bottom line is if you’re holding your hamstring and you go down and you limp off you’re not going to be playing again for the next few days put it that way. The minimum that’s going to be is a week to ten days you would think. So as much as you hear it’s not serious, it’s not the best of signs. You want him in your squad fit and firing, so thankfully we’re hearing it’s not a bad one,” Owen said.

Of course, Owen knows just how much bad hamstrings can affect a player. The former England hitman suffered all his career with the same injury problems.

Jesus a big miss if he’s out again

Arsenal don’t seem to be able to catch a break when it comes to Gabriel Jesus and the injury problems he runs into.

He seems to really get into his stride and then, bang, he’s picked up something else.

Arsenal fans will be praying that tonight’s issue will be a bit of cramp and nothing else. If it is something else, then as Owen says, there’s reason to be worried.

It was a bit of a masterclass from Jesus in Seville and Arsenal fans were rightly excited. Now, they face a tentative wait to find out the extent of the issue.
