Ally McCoist has admitted he’s been shocked by Liverpool’s defending this season.
Liverpool conceded another three goals at the weekend as they drew with high-flying Brighton.
Klopp’s side went 2-0 down before a Roberto Firmino brace and Adam Webster own goal gave Liverpool the lead.

However, they couldn’t hold onto three points, as Leandro Trossard completed his hat-trick in the final ten minutes.
Jurgen Klopp admitted after the game that he thought goalkeeper Alisson Becker made some ‘exceptional’ saves.
It wasn’t enough to earn Liverpool a much-needed win, and McCoist has admitted he’s been shocked by Liverpool’s defending this season.
McCoist shocked by Liverpool defending this season
McCoist addressed Liverpool’s performance on TalkSPORT, saying: “What is a surprise, is the level that Liverpool are playing at, and the way they’re shipping goals.
“That’s the biggest surprise. They look miles off it.
“How many games are we into the Premier League season? Eight matches.
“And effectively, there’s a lot of people writing Liverpool off for the league title.”
Liverpool currently find themselves 11 points off top of the table Arsenal, with a game in hand.
However, they’ve looked shaky at the back, and some individual performances have been a cause for concern.
Trent Alexander-Arnold has come under heavy fire, and was poor again against Brighton.
Virgil van Dijk has looked imperious since arriving at Liverpool, but he too has finally looked vulnerable this season.

Jurgen Klopp’s high-intensity style has demanded incredible levels of fitness from his players over a number of years.
His side played the maximum number of games possible last season, and could still be feeling the effects of that exhausting campaign.
McCoist is not alone in being shocked by aspects of Liverpool’s defending this season.
Klopp will have to find a solution soon, and will be hoping some of his key players return to their best levels quickly.
