Manchester United have finally made the move to sack manager Erik ten Hag and Gary Neville has been giving his instant thoughts on the matter.
Ten Hag saw his side lose in the last minute at West Ham yesterday and the Dutchman must have known the writing was on the wall at full-time.
INEOS have now acted and made a first huge footballing decision at the club and big question is who will replace Ten Hag.
TBR understands that Julian Nagelsmann and Thomas Frank are among the managers liked at Old Trafford.
As for Ten Hag, it remains to be seen where his next steps take him and according to United legend Gary Neville, there was one major problem for the Dutch coach at Old Trafford.

Gary Neville says why Erik ten Hag ended up being sacked at Manchester United
Speaking about the sacking of Ten Hag, Neville admitted that the lack of a clear way of playing has cost the Dutchman just as much as results themselves.
“I think the lack of identity and style is something that has been a mystery for the last two-and-a-half seasons,” Neville told Sky Sports News.
“The recruitment has been awful at times but I believe there are a group of players who can play better than they are.
“Lack of style has been the biggest problem. It is a real struggle watching them play and it hasn’t changed in the last 18 months. That has been as bad as the results. I suspect the Tottenham game was probably a catalyst for them to start thinking about a new manager.”
Ten Hag problems clear for a long time
Any manager at Man United is in the spotlight and Erik ten Hag has been no different whatsoever.
At times, he’s had his critics and the reality is that the writing has been on the wall for some time now.
Paul Scholes recently questioned Ten Hag for not picking Manuel Ugarte after spending big on him, and while INEOS were apparently impressed by Ten Hag’s training methods, results have been dire.
The new United owners have got a massive decision to make now and if they get it wrong, then it once again puts the club back even further.
