'The best loan signing ever?': Celtic reportedly in talks with international, adored at two English clubs
Celtic have reportedly made contact with Spurs over Cameron Carter-Vickers.
New Hoops boss Ange Postecoglou has apparently identified central defence, right-back and wingers as priority positions.
The Daily Record reports that Carter-Vickers is set to leave Tottenham this summer, and that Celtic have made contact over his signature.

However, the Bhoys are apparently in competition with Bournemouth, where he spent last season on loan.
Carter-Vickers has come through the ranks at Spurs but to date has only made four senior appearances since his 2016 debut.
The 23-year-old – capped eight times by the USA – has taken in six loan stints over the past few years, and he was superb in his last two.
“Unhealthy obsession with Cameron Carter-Vickers”
Carter-Vickers joined Luton in January 2020 and made 16 Championship appearances, including the full 90 minutes in their last 14 matches of the season.
His performances not only helped shore up a previously rickety Hatters defence but also proved crucial in the club pulling off a great escape and surviving in the Championship.
Luton were 10 points from safety in February but managed to see off Blackburn 3-2 on the final day to finish three points clear of the drop zone, with Carter-Vickers once again impressing.
Here is what some of their fans were saying about Carter-Vickers during his time at the club:

The best loan signing ever? Carter-Vickers came in after starting the season at Stoke and managed to solidify a defence that were conceding nearly 2.5 goals a game. Bar a horror show vs. Reading that dropped to about 1.0 when CCV starts
If I was to write a book… It would be entitled an unhealthy obsession with Cameron Carter-Vickers & Alex Baptiste https://t.co/BJrInwBezj

“Move heaven and earth to get his name on a contract”
Carter-Vickers then joined Bournemouth on loan in October and, though he didn’t play until January, he was superb once at full speed.
He made 23 Championship appearances, including both of the playoff semi-final legs.
Although they fell short in pursuit of an immediate Premier League return, many fans are eager for Carter-Vickers to join once again.
Now all the emotions have passed. The first two things that I would sort out is :

1) managerial situation – Whether it’s Woodgate on a permanent or an external. I hope Blake doesn’t doss around for three weeks.
2) CCV on a permanent – been so impressed with him. #afcb
If we spend money on one player this summer it needs to be CCV. If he’s open to making his stay permanent it’s a no-brainier. Genuinely hasn’t had a bad game for us. #afcb

I ask one thing only from this summer, that CCV remains. Move heaven and earth to get his name on a contract.

Players will leave to realise their own ambitions, coaches may well leave, but please keep CCV.
The rebuild must blend youth and experience.
