Arsenal face a Boxing Day clash with London rivals Chelsea and the Gunners will be desperate to give their fans something to smile about this Christmas.
The Gunners are languishing in 15th place in the division and Mikel Arteta is in desperate need of a lift from somewhere.
Ahead of Arsenal’s game with Frank Lampard’s team, we looked at some Christmas classics between the two teams.
Arsenal 2-2 Chelsea (January 2nd 2018)
Technically this one stretched into the New Year but it was a memorable game for Arsenal nonetheless.
After taking the lead through Jack Wilshere in the 63rd minute, Arsenal found themselves on the wrong end of a sucker punch.

First, Eden Hazard scored from the spot, before Marcos Alonso fired home six minutes from time.
Arsenal weren’t to be denied though and deep into stoppage time Hector Bellerin struck to earn the Gunners a share of the spoils.
Arsenal 3-1 Chelsea (December 27th 2010)
An Arsene Wenger masterclass of epic proportions as Chelsea were sent backing back to West London to lick their wounds.
Three devastating goals in nine second-half minutes saw the Gunners home in this Emirates Stadium clash.
Alex Song got the ball rolling before Cesc Fabregas fired Arsenal further in front.
Just two minutes later Theo Walcott completed the rout and although Branislav Ivanovic pulled one back, it was the Gunners who prevailed.
Arsenal 1-0 Chelsea (December 16th 2007)
A solid win for different reasons as an Arsenal team in transition defeated a star-studded Blues outfit.
William Gallas settled this tie with a goal on the stroke of half-time and the Gunners stood firm to win three points.
A midfield of Fabregas, Mathieu Flamini, Aleksandr Hleb and Tomas Rosicky manager to keep the likes of Andriy Shevchenko, Claude Makelele, Lampard and Joe Cole out.
Arsenal 3-2 Chelsea (January 1st 2003)
A real classic to kick off 2003, with four goals coming in the final nine minutes.
Arsenal had led from the ninth minute through a Marcel Desailly own goal.
They had to wait until the 81st minute to put the seal on the win with Giovanni van Bronckhorst and Thierry Henry firing the Gunners into a 3-0 lead.
Mario Stanic and Emmanuel Petit both pulled goals back for the Blues but it was Arsenal who won the five-goal classic.
Arsenal 2-1 Chelsea (December 26th 2001)
During this Highbury showdown, Arsenal had to come from behind to claim victory over their rivals.
Lampard fired Chelsea into a 31st-minute lead before Sol Campbell equalised just after half-time.

Arsenal were made of stern stuff back in 2001 and they weren’t to be denied three points in this memorable game.
Sylvain Wiltord came up trumps with 20 minutes remaining to leave Chelsea to ponder what might have been once again.
