'The audacity': Some Arsenal fans dare rivals to 'keep bidding' for wizard after offer is rejected

Arsenal have turned down a second transfer offer from Aston Villa for Emile Smith Rowe.

According to the Athletic, the Gunners have shot down a £30m bid from the Villains for their 20-year-old wizard. Arsenal are working to tie Smith Rowe to a new long-term deal.

The youngster was key to reviving Arsenal during the festive period after Smith Rowe was thrown into the deep end on Boxing Day and starred against Chelsea.

With two years left on his current contract, Villa have sensed an opportunity to pull off a stunning swoop for the midfielder. However, Arsenal are keen to keep Smith Rowe at the club long-term.

Villa have already proven their ambition this summer by signing Emi Buendia for a club-record fee. The winger was a target for Arsenal. However, Dean Smith’s side won the race for the Argentine playmaker.

Smith Rowe is seen as a big part of Arsenal’s long-term plans. And supporters have grown attached to the playmaker following his impressive performances in the second half of the season for the Gunners.
