Tottenham Hotspur returned to the top of the Premier League table after triumphing in their return to action after the international break.
Ange Postecoglou’s Spurs ran out 2-0 winners over London rivals Fulham at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Monday night.
And The Telegraph, covering the game and the aftermath, noted how James Maddison joined in the celebrations after the match, much to the delight of the Tottenham contingent.

“How Spurs are loving it,” they wrote. “They are loving Big Ange – at the final whistle they played Robbie Williams Angels and they also belted out Islands in the Stream by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton.
“Watching man-of-the-match Maddison return to the pitch to sing along to that country-and-western classic was almost as astonishing as his tireless performance.”
Tottenham forward Son Heung-min opened the scoring in the 36th minute. Maddison then doubled the lead in the 54th minute, while the Spurs defence held firm for another clean sheet.
James Maddison and Ange Postecoglou help Tottenham back to greatness
Postecoglou has well and truly turned things around at Tottenham in a very short space of time.
Indeed, the new Spurs boss has set a Premier League record for the best start by a manager after nine games.
Postecoglou now has 23 points from his first nine games, which surpasses the previous best (22) set by ex-Chelsea head coach Guus Hiddink and former Norwich boss Mike Walker.
And in terms of talismanic signings, Maddison is right up there as one of the best of the summer by any team.
The England international has three goals and five assists from just nine Premier League outings for Spurs this term.

In addition, Maddison has created an impressive 29 chances for Tottenham.
Obviously he’s not the only player who deserves a mention – most of Spurs’ players have been impressive this season.
It’s a great time to be a Tottenham fan at present. Spurs fans now have the opportunity to dream of a top four finish at least, and possibly much more.
