Tottenham have enjoyed an up and down 2020 overall under Jose Mourinho but appear stronger heading into 2021 than they did at the turn of last year.
Patchy form from Spurs before and after lockdown ensured they finished last season in sixth, some eight points short of the Champions League places.

A stellar summer in the transfer market this time around and a brilliant start to the season has put Spurs at least in contention to be champions this term, although a dip in form recently hasn’t helped that ambition.
But overall, a number of Tottenham stars can hold their heads especially high in 2020 and go into the new year looking forward to another brilliant year of football.
Here, then, are our THREE picks for Spurs’ best players from 2020.
Heung-Min Son
What a year for the South Korean forward. The electric Spurs star has elevated himself into the world-class category under Jose Mourinho and has been exceptional this season.

He scored ten times in the league last term but has eclipsed that with 11 already, with another four assists to his name too.
Son has been exceptional and other than Harry Kane, is now the first name on the Spurs teamsheet. A brilliant 2020 for the speedy Spurs ace.
Moussa Sissoko
What a turnaround for Sissoko it has been. Often the subject of calls to be replaced or in the ‘not quite good enough’ category with some fans, Sissoko is now integral to how Mourinho sets his team up.
His energy, box to box style, and willingness to work for the team was always going to impress Mourinho and it certainly has done that.
2020 has been an excellent year for the £30m signing and he is now a regular in all the big games for Spurs.
Harry Kane
It’s simply impossible to name a list of the best players for Spurs in 2020 and not include Harry Kane in it. What a player, and what a year for the England skipper.

18 goals in a disrupted campaign last term was impressive enough but he’s already into double figures in the PL this year, while he also leads the assist charts with 10 already.
Kane has developed, too. His new role as a deep-lying number ten has impressed everyone and he is truly one of the very best strikers in world football as things stand.
