While Manchester United have become infamous for boasting some of the footballing world’s greatest talents – Cristiano Ronaldo, Eric Cantona and George Best, to name but a few – the Old Trafford outfit have also been guilty for signing some of the biggest flops throughout the years.

The disappointment of Angel Di Maria and Radamel Falcao will sit fresh in the memory of the club’s faithful. Having arrived at the club with stellar reputations for being two of the most talented players in the world, after just 12 months of largely uninspiring football both were moved on to pastures new.

While Di Maria is now thriving in Ligue 1 with French champions Paris Saint Germain, his South American counterpart, Falcao has faced a significant struggle in his attempts to kick-start his Premier League career with Roman Abramovich’s Chelsea.

Unfortunately for Manchester United fans, this duo were by no means isolated cases when it comes to players failing to live up to expectations at Old Trafford.  Luckily for us, our friends over at Full Time Devils have highlighted and ranked ten of the most disappointing players ever to pull on the red shirt of the 20-time Premier League Champions.
