Celtic fans will be worried about Kieran Tierney’s future amid growing speculation that he could leave. The homegrown Celtic left-back has recently been linked with Arsenal.
The Gunners will reportedly increase their efforts to sign Tierney as Unai Emery wants a new left-back, The Daily Mail reports. And the lure of Premier League riches could tempt Tierney away.
But he has always seemed level-headed and he is a boyhood fan. And ahead of the new season, he has been discussing the Champions League draw, which indicates he sees his future at Parkhead.
Celtic will play their first Champions League qualifying match against FK Sarajevo. Celtic’s opponents won the Bosnian top-flight last season but are relatively unknown on the continental circuit.

As reported by The Times, Tierney said: “You don’t get easy games or bad teams nowadays. Every team is good and they know how to play football. They’re all well organised so there’s a clear standard to the football in that regard.
“We’re going into the unknown against a team we’ve never played and against players we’ve never faced. It’s a hard ask, but the expectation at Celtic is to win and go through and that’s what we’re planning to do.”
TBR’s view
Tierney would be an excellent addition for Arsenal. And the success of fellow Scotland international Andrew Robertson at Liverpool could be a motivating factor behind any transfer.
But it seems as if Tierney is happy at Celtic. The settled 22-year-old will target continued success with the Scottish champions. While Celtic might still sell at the right price, it is unlikely that Tierney will try to force a move away.
