'Yikes', 'how': Some Arsenal fans shocked by how much Dani Ceballos would reportedly cost now
A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to give their thoughts on the Marca report claiming Dani Ceballos could set the Gunners back up to 35 million euros (£32million).
Last summer, Arsenal brought the 23-year-old to the Emirates Stadium on a season-long stint from Real Madrid for a reported £15million fee (The Sun).
Ceballos was reportedly open to cutting short his stay in January as a result of a lack of game time under Unai Emery, but worked his way into Mikel Arteta’s plans before the football suspension.

Since the restart, the Spaniard has become a crucial member of the side, forging a great partnership with Granit Xhaka in midfield.
According to Marca, Ceballos feels it’s “impossible” for him to return to the Bernabeu and work with Zinedine Zidane, and is now in fact quite keen on staying at Arsenal.
The outlet also claims that “finances are tight at the Emirates Stadium, but an agreement of between 30 and 35 million euros could be reached between the two clubs”.
Despite having been at Arsenal for just seven months, Arteta has shown a ruthless streak when it comes to players who don’t fit into his plans, but he thinks very highly of Ceballos.
However, some Gunners fans worry whether the price range quoted might be too steep for the club at this moment in time:
That’s too much for Dani

That’s the apparent £20m budget gone then lol ? !! Ceballos is worth keeping, but in today’s market he’s worth £22m max

How from £17m to €35m???? Spent that cash somewhere else like Szobozlai.

Since the current loan doesn’t hav a clause to buy him, we can ask for a loan ext with an option to buy at the end of 2020/21

I believe whsn you dont have money you shop differently. Southamptons pierre-emile Hojbjerg is a cheaper alternative and he is better defensively. So we can buy him instead of paying more for Ceballos.

Pls tell it’s a loan with option to buy

Yikes…I am not sure if that’s worth it. Heck keep the extra cash to sign up Auba ?
