‘That’s the game won’: Arsenal fans react to news Thomas Partey could face Benfica
Arsenal fans have been celebrating today as news emerged from Mikel Arteta that Thomas Partey could be ready to face Benfica tomorrow.
The powerful midfielder has missed the last few weeks through injury. The Ghanaian has suffered a stop-start opening season with the Gunners, since signing from Atletico in the summer.
But Arteta’s confirmation earlier today that Partey could be available – pending a late fitness test – is a huge boost for Arsenal as they look to advance past Benfica in the Europa League tomorrow.

Partey could well be chucked right into the fold too if fit. His presence in the middle cannot be underestimated, and some Gunners fans on Twitter were buzzing at the prospect of seeing Partey back in the XI.
It seems some Arsenal supporters feel their summer signing is a big difference maker. Here, then, is what some fans had to say as Thomas Partey nears a return for the Gunners.
