Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville has had a go at Arsenal owners Stan and Josh Kroenke for the way they’re running the club.

The Americans have been around for over a decade, but they are yet to win over the supporters. Arsenal fans are not happy with their owners at all, even though the Kroenkes allowed Mikel Arteta to spend more money than any other team in the country.

The problem Arsenal supporters have with the Kroenkes is not necessarily about money, it’s more about how little communication there is between the club and the fan base.

Neville had his say about the situation and he agrees with Arsenal supporters. He has lashed out at the Kroenkes, labelling the way they’re running the club as ‘really poor’ and ‘disappointing’.

Neville: I’ve never heard from Stan Kroenke

The Englishman said on Sky Sports before the game, as per Football London: “There isn’t enough communication between them and the fans at all and they’re left to wonder sometimes what the project is, what the real long-term plan is.

“I feel that’s really poor. Ultimately, there isn’t that direction publicly from Arsenal.

“I’ve never heard from Kroenke. I just feel that’s something that fans are always searching for, wanting more and they’re not getting it. That’s disappointing.”

Neville is right about the Kroenkes, they’ve barely ever spoken to the supporters to discuss the club’s long-term ambitions. That’s really poor, but Arsenal fans can’t do anything about it.

In terms of the direction Arsenal are going in, Edu and Mikel Arteta have both detailed their plan on multiple occasions. The Gunners technical director sat down for an interview with Sky Sports not too long ago to share his transfer policy and his vision at the club.

It really was a fascinating interview and credit to Edu for sending a message across to the fans. However, that does not excuse the Kroenkes’ silence, but based on what Arsenal fans have seen for over a decade now, that’s not going to change.
