A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have reacted angrily to the suggestion in The Mirror claiming Daniel Levy “will need to ensure” that the next Spurs manager is to Harry Kane’s liking.
Tottenham’s search for a new permanent manager is under way after the club sacked Jose Mourinho last week, with Ryan Mason in caretaker charge until the end of the season.
The Daily Mail has recently claimed that Levy, the Spurs chairman, will not allow his search for a new head coach to drag long into the summer.

Two prime candidates have already been ruled out – Julian Nagelsmann will take over at Bayern Munich, while multiple reports say Brendan Rodgers is not interested in the vacancy.
Other coaches linked with the Spurs role include Massimiliano Allegri, Maurizio Sarri and Erik ten Hag.
The Mirror believes that Rangers boss Steven Gerrard would be a good shout for the Tottenham job, thanks partly to his good working relationship with Kane, a former England teammate.
“Daniel Levy will need to ensure that whoever he decides to hire as Mourinho’s replacement will be to Kane’s liking, as the previous boss was,” wrote the outlet.
And some Tottenham fans weren’t pleased to hear that Kane reportedly had – and continues to have – an influence on who ends up getting the job in the Spurs dugout.
