'That's cold': Arsenal fans react as club parts ways with Steve Bould
Arsenal have reportedly sacked – or parted ways – with under-23s coach and legendary defender, Steve Bould, and fans have been reacting on Twitter.
Bould leaves the club after around 30 years service to the Gunners both as a player, and a coach. He was part of the famous Arsenal teams of the early 90s, playing alongside the likes of Tony Adams and Martin Keown to good effect.
He has since taken on the role of under-23s manager but aside from providing the first XI with some top talents such as Saka, Smith Rowe, and Martinelli, he had a disastrous season this term.
The Young Gunners only survived relegation thanks to a last minute winner, so to some, Bould moving on is no big surprise.
There are, of course, those on the other side of the fence with the matter. Twitter was full of comments discussing Bould’s departure which, like most things Arsenal do, seems to have split supporters.
Steve B was a loyal servant. His time was up five years ago. The legacy of Arsenal

Legend of the club but definitely the right time

A great servant, but as defensive coach under Arsene & Unai – car crash zonal defending carried on in the U23’s. Loyal to the club but problematic outcomes on the pitch. Shame, but probably inevitable

He is an Arsenal legend. Sunday here in NZ ruined. Sad day.

In charge of a U23 team that just avoided relegation. On the cards when he was relieved of his AM role. New blood needed

Surely there was a place for him in the coaching staff, even if he wasn’t suited to his current role? That kind of experience, as well as the “Arsenal DNA™️” is really hard to find.
