'That's actually really interesting': Tottenham fans react after 'huge' news comes out about Bryan Gil
Tottenham Hotspur fans have been left impressed after Bryan Gil was named captain of Spain’s under-21 side last night.
Catching the eye
Spain officially confirmed the Tottenham new boy as their youth side’s new leader yesterday evening, in a recognition of his talents.
Gil lead his country out in their 4-1 win over Russia at the weekend.
And it seems that Gil will now be the owner of the armband, much to the delight of Tottenham fans.
Still waiting to see Gil’s best
Spurs are yet to really see the best of Gil’s talents since he arrived, with the 20-year-old being given time to adjust by Nuno.
His promotion to captain of Spain’s under-21 side does highlight just how high hopes the country has for him though.
Tottenham fans have also seen reason to believe that he could be a star of the future in North London.
Gil’s latest showing in the Europa Conference League against Pacos de Ferreira was hugely impressive, as he claimed an assist in a comfortable 3-0 victory.
Gil is yet to make his first Premier League start at Spurs, but it is surely only a matter of time before he comes into Nuno’s thinking.
